Nancy Watkins Hillsborough Community College Board of Trustees 2005 Commencement Speaker
Ms. Nancy Watkins is a member of Hillsborough Community College’s Board of Trustees. Ms. Watkins is an alumna of Hillsborough Community College and a Certified Public Accountant with the Tampa accounting firm of Robert Watkins & company.
Nancy has provided professional accounting services to a diverse range of businesses and political organizations for more than 25 years. She is highly experienced and respected in campaign finance law compliance and federal tax law for tax-exempt organizations, with an emphasis on political organizations. She has served on a number of political campaigns including current and former members of the United States Senate, the United States House of Representatives, the Florida Cabinet, the Florida Legislature and various political party committees, political action committees and other political and policy organizations with the United States.
As a student at Hillsborough Community College Ms. Watkins was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society for two-year colleges and was listed in Who’s Who in American and Junior Colleges. Ms. Watkins is also a graduate of the University of South Florida. As a student at the University of South Florida, she was a member of Beta Alpha Phi, the National Honorary Accounting Fraternity. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Despite her busy schedule, Nancy finds time to be active in community affairs. She is a member of various civic and historical lineage societies. These groups support historic preservation, education and academic scholarships.
